Only One Week

My bold prediction: A week from today, I will be stressed out with excitement.

Reason being: A week from tomorrow, my son William James (or Baby Will) will be delivered by C-section.

That is, unless Baby Will decides to play a cruel practical joke on his daddy this weekend and decide to enter the world early. My plan is to visit my sons (Ben and Jonah) in Ohio this weekend and then speed back to Georgia to be ready at any moment to head for the hospital.

So, here’s my second bold prediction: This weekend, I’m going to be a nervous wreck.

Reason being: Babies come whenever they want. And my wife (Tammy) will be in Georgia (along with Baby Will) while I’m in Ohio (with Ben and Jonah).

Did I mention that WritersMarket.com is going to be re-launched with even more information than it’s had before? And that this re-launch will occur two days after Baby Will is born? Oh, well, that’s happening, too.

The new WritersMarket.com will offer even more listings than the current version, since it will include listings from the other writing-related Market Books, such as Children’s Writer’s & Illustrator’s Market, Novel & Short Story Writer’s Market, and Poet’s Market. Whole new categories, such as Conferences, will be included. And for those who manage their submission records on WritersMarket.com, the site will allow users to add market listings not housed in WritersMarket.com–something that’s been requested by many for a while now. Very awesome news!

I’m truly excited by both upcoming events, but I have to admit that it’s a nervous excitement. Kind of like the night before Christmas or something. (Isn’t that coming up sometime soonish, too?)

Robert, good luck to you and Tammy on the upcoming birth of baby Will, who will, hopefully, wait until you get back from Ohio to make his appearance.

How exciting! I hope you get to enjoy some good time with all three of your sons.
